Administration of Estate Charges
Please note this is indicative only of our fees and services. We will be pleased to provide a bespoke estimate if you would like to contact your local office and request one.
Our fees are based on the amount of time spent by us in completing the work for you. Our fees are based on an hourly rate of £300.00 plus VAT per hour.
The amount of time spent can vary a great deal according to the complexity and value of the Estate. We estimate 3 months for a basic Estate to 1 year for a complex Estate.
For a basic Estate which might include 2 or 3 bank or building society accounts we would estimate a fee of £1,500.00 plus VAT.
For a medium Estate which might include a property, we would anticipate a fee of £4,500.00 plus VAT.
For a complex Estate we would anticipate a fee of £10,000.00 plus VAT.
We will take initial instructions to ascertain the extent and value of the assets of the estate at the date of death, prepare Personal Representative’s Oath and any required Inheritance Tax return, apply to the Court for Grant of Representation giving the personal representative title to deal with the estate, register the Grant as appropriate, realise or transfer the assets of the estate as appropriate, prepare an account of the administration of the estate and pay the beneficiaries their respective entitlements.
Some Estates are extremely complex and involve negotiations and correspondence with HMRC in regard to Inheritance Tax.
