John has lectured extensively on cross border matters including conflicts of laws and on reciprocal enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards.

John’s practice bridges the corporate and dispute resolution fields and focuses on commercial work and dispute resolution. John has extensive experience at the highest levels. Starting his career at construction specialists Freedman and Co, John was Managing Partner of the commercial department of a major West End law firm by his early 30s. Subsequently John has enjoyed a wide and varied career, including working as in-house counsel to the London office of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.

John’s clients have included household names such as insurance companies and government agencies as well as foreign governments and multi-nationals, as well as a wide range of SMEs.

John’s clients come from across the globe, with a particular emphasis on the Middle East and increasingly the Far East.

His hobbies include historic aviation, motor racing and skiing. He has travelled extensively and is currently engaged in learning Mandarin.
