Alex heads the Dispute Resolution Department at our Central London Office and deals with a wide range of Private Criminal, Regulatory, and Reputation Management matters. His considerable experience has taught him that these issues typically affect business owners, company directors, and high net worth individuals in their business and personal lives, frequently impacting upon each other.
Alex says, “My areas of expertise are a bit of a mix, but they all hang together. It’s a bit like a day at work. Some people drive to work using their mobile phone not on hands free and speed to get there, having arrived they deal with staffing problems, difficulties with customers and suppliers, chasing money owed, and avoiding debts due. They frequently have issues with co-owners or directors, sometimes these issues can involve criminal allegations of theft or fraud, or trading whilst insolvent. They then might go for a drink to get over the day and drive home trying to avoid a breathalyser. Once home, they experience relationship problems which can result in domestic violence or harassment. I can deal with all of these situations, but they can adversely affect an individual’s reputation, either at home or at work, and so maintaining or undermining the reputation of an individual can also be important."
Alex has dealt with a number of high profile cases which have received significant media attention over the years and uses his numerous media contacts to good effect.
Over the years, Alex has built up a significant network of contacts within the UK and European business community, as well as within political circles, which can assist in resolving problems by “thinking outside the box.”
As to outside interests, Alex says, “If I could fly to a beautiful setting and play or watch a sport that I love and end it with food and drink with people I like, that must be a perfect day!”
