Cycle Marathon for Sutton Partner

Nigel Quinney, Resident Partner at WHM Sutton office completed the Prudential 100 mile cycle ride on the 31st of July.  The ride starts at the Olympic Stadium and travels through London out into the Surrey countryside and then back into London, finishing at the Mall.

Nigel said “I have undertaken the London to Brighton Cycle Run on a number of occasions but I was uncertain whether I would have the stamina to complete the Prudential Ride which is nearly twice the distance of the London to Brighton Run.  In a moment of weakness I entered my name in the ballot and was offered a place.  The challenge having been set was one that I felt I had to rise to.

The support provided by the organisers was excellent and I really enjoyed the experience of riding through central London not having to worry about other vehicles or traffic lights.  Sadly, due to a fatality, the section of the ride including Box Hill and Leith Hill were excluded by a detour so that I ended up cycling around 82 miles which in all fairness was just as well.

I would like to thank all my friends, work colleagues and clients who have generously supported to the charity I was supporting “Beating Bowel Cancer”, the grand total stands at just over £1,200 raised.

The question now is do I put my name down for next year!?
